What is dating?

By definition, #dating is a casual process by which you get to know a person or a group of people with whom you can eventually have a romantic #relationship.

It's sort of a relationship between you and the opposite sex(s) that you find appealing, so you want to know more. This means engaging in a variety of group events, such as watching a film together, having dinner, attending a lecture or conference together, or even taking a walk together. There is no engagement here, and it is obvious to all of you.

You 're not even sure what your thoughts are about others, and as such, you don't have a strong commitment. If the person you 're going out on a date with today sees you with another person tomorrow, he or she won't (or isn't) lift an eyebrow because you haven't made any commitment to each other yet.

It goes, therefore, that dating will take place at a time between you and various people. You just have fun and enjoy yourself. In some instances, this "fun" may not exclude the enjoyment of sex, and although it is a level or degree of closeness, it is not yet a relationship. The transition from dating to being in a relationship takes place when you have fun and every single thing you do and what you enjoy.

Dating Vs Relationship

When two things have a lot in common, often it can be difficult to distinguish between them. That is the case for friendship vs. dating. Almost everybody today seems to be confused about dating while being in a relationship, and when you're in a relationship with someone, you 're always out on dates with them. Also, both dating and partnership in some situations involve two people enjoying each other's company and potentially having sex.

And, since similar things are often taking place in both cases, only a few people are able to draw a distinction between them. Yet here's the bomb (to some really): being in a relationship and dating isn't the same thing. There are a lot of variations between them.

Another is likely to outlive the other. When you're thinking of a relationship as a universal set, dating is just a subset. In other words, all relationships require dating, but not all dating leads to a relationship. It's easier to set the records straight by providing a clear description of these two words, and that's exactly what we're going to do here.
