What is a Romantic Date?

And, since similar things are often taking place in both cases, only a few people are able to draw a distinction between them. Yet here's the bomb (to some really): being in a relationship and dating isn't the same thing. There are a lot of variations between them. Another is likely to outlive the other.

When you're thinking of a relationship as a universal set, dating is just a subset. In other words, all relationships require dating, but not all dating leads to a relationship. It's easier to set the records straight by providing a clear description of these two words, and that's exactly what we're going to do here.

And if you're very lucky, you have someone who loves you and wants to hang out there. Who has the time — or the mental and emotional capacity — to schedule a fun and romantic date night with all the demands of daily life? No one, that's who. Except us. We've gathered a list of our favorite #date ideas, for every kind of couple.

Some Romantic Date Ideas 2020

  • Only seek a new restaurant. If you have a menu already memorized in your favorite feed jar, check out a new one. Pretend your restaurant critics and choose food — not your partner — for a change.

  • Play a tourist game in your hometown. When was the last time you took advantage of the stuff that everyone wants to see when they visit? Perhaps the last time you've had visitors out of town, that's when. Take an afternoon or evening and visit your local landmarks or must-see attractions and fall in love with your locals again and again.

  • Create a fun new recipe for you. Even if you're not much of a chef, trying a new recipe will make you laugh a lot. Not to mention, you get to eat the fruit of your labor.

  • Go on a picnic. When it's warm outside, there's nothing more #romantic than packing al fresco food and bev, throwing it on a rug, and enjoying the great outdoors. If you don't, do the same thing in your living room.

  • Just take a walk. Something about getting your blood pumping while discovering nature really gets your heart going in other ways, if you know what we're talking about.

  • Hit the beach right now. Sun, sand, surf, and a lot of skin. Come on up for a pleasant afternoon. Well, we dare you.

  • Go skiing. Not the weather on the beach? Instead, hit the slopes. Before that, if you don't get hot chocolate, it doesn't count.
